Dr. Gagan Wig

Dr. Gagan Wig holds a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia (2001)[1], followed by a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from Dartmouth College (2006)[1].

He completed postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard University (2009) and Washington University School of Medicine (2012), where he worked on the Human Connectome Project. Wig joined the University of Texas at Dallas in 2019 as an Associate Professor at the Center for Vital Longevity[1]. In 2025, he was appointed Head of the Cognitive Neuroscience Doctoral Program in the Department of Psychology. He also holds an adjunct appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. His career trajectory reflects a deliberate progression from foundational neuroscience training through elite research institutions to leadership in brain sciences education and research.
